Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. She made her debut in a feature film with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to play anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody started modelling after she was approached. The outcome proved to be a lucrative career. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work. This was a principle she carried over to her acting. Once she caught the attention of the casting director for an upcoming James Bond movie, she took a part of A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was listed as one of the top 12 promising young Actors of 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody aged 18 as she played the character of Doody in Bond, was and is still the most youthful Bond girl until today. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody was an actress in silent films in a 1987 film adaptation of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream bride Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. Then she took her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal she went on to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery the agent's girlfriend. Doody returned to acting in 2003, playing a small performance as a character in The Actors, a British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards ceremony. She was in the film with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version to King Solomon's Mines. Doody made an appearance as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Then, she appeared in RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to be the star of a remake in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. She began her first two seasons of Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014 she starred in We Still Kill the Old Way. She was given the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on the 21st of November, 2018.
